I have a confession to make: I love birth. I love everything about it and when I find cool websites that sell birth products I am all over them. Here is a blog that was written from another website, for all you homebirth folk out there. It is a great, concise article that clearly outlines what you need and where to get it.
Everyone will have unique preferences for birth - and your birth doula can help walk you through what is important to you so you can narrow down what you need. It can be overwhelming having every tool around you and not knowing which one to choose next. Imagine your worst menstrual cramp (healing and herbs can help with these!). Now think back to what you usually turn to when you are experiencing discomfort. This is similar to how we will choose to use tools in labour. The more you are familiar with your tools, the more second nature it will become to choose from what you have.
This is when it is great to hire a doula. She is familiar with birth tools that can help during labour. She can suggest when to use each one so you can go on with working through each wave that brings your baby down, out, and into your lovely arms.
